Mrs. Walter (Clara) Kinzel, 59, of 305 Riverview Dr., Manitowoc, died Wednesday morning, January 13, at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Larry Ellenberger will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Kinzel, nee Clara Evenson, was born July 9, 1922, at Valders, daughter of Mrs. Irene Rusch Evenson and the late Elmer Evenson. She was married to Walter Kinzel May 25, 1946, at Gjerpen Lutheran Church, Valders. Mrs. Kinzel was a member of Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc.
Survivors include her husband, Walter, two sons and daughters-in-law, Bruce and Kristine Kinzel and Brian and Jane Kinzel of Manitowoc; two daughers and sons-in-law, Nancy and Charles Bast of Manitowoc and Linda and David Cigler of Green Bay, her mother, Mrs. Irene Evenson of Manitowoc; five sisters and brothers-in-law, Inez and Lester Matejovitz, Violet and Edwin Burns and Salome and Robert Haupt of Manitowoc, Marion and Hubert Haupt of Newton and Beverly and Robert Schwister of Wauwatosa, nine grandchildren and nieces and nephews. A granddaughter, Machelle Cigler preceded her in death.
Friends may call at Parkside Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, and then at the church from noon until the time of service. Memorials would be appreciated to Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church or Bethany Evangelical Lutheran School.
