MINNIE KITZEROW (d. 1963)

Mrs. Bernard Kitzerow, 90, lifelong Manitowoc resident, died Tuesday evening
at Park Lawn home, Manitowoc, where she had resided several years.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at First Reformed United Church
of Christ, Manitowoc. The Rev. Theodore P. Crusius will officiate and burial
will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
The former Minnie Luebke was born March 26, 1873, daughter of the late August
and Matilda Godey Luebke. She attended Manitowoc schools and taught in the old
First Ward School from 1889 to 1899. She was married to Bernard Kitzerow Oct. 2,
1897. The couple celebrated the golden anniversary of the wedding in 1947. Her
husband died that year. Mrs. Kitzerow was a member of the Women’s Guild of First
Reformed Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Donald (Berniece) Bacon of Glenview, Ill.,
Mrs. Adolph (Wilma) Schultz of Chicago and Mrs. Erich (Sylvia) Steiner of
Manitowoc; a son Mel of Manitowoc; a brother, Fred Luebke of Manitowoc; seven
grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. A daughter, three sisters and two
brothers preceded her in death.
Friends may call at Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc, after 4 p.m. Thursday until
10:30 a.m. Friday when the casket will be moved to the church where the body
will lie in state until time of service.
