DIES AFTER BEING SICK BUT FOR ONE WEEK
Joseph A. Meyer Lately Removed Here Dies After Short Illness.
After being confined to his bed for but a week, and being taken to
the Holy Family hospital yesterday afternoon at 4 o’clock, Joseph A.
Meyer passed away in death one hour after his arrival there, an
affliction of the heart being the cause of his demise.
The deceased was born in the Town of Kossuth 57 years ago and for
twenty years conducted a farm near Neshoto. He sold his farm last
fall and moved to this city with his family, taking up their
residence at 829 No. Sixth street. He leaves a wife and eight
children. They are Henry A., Herman, Jerome, Mary, Anna, Jos. D.,
and Raymond, all of this city, and Mrs. Chas Kornely of Kossuth.
Besides these, his mother and one sister, Mrs. John Jarr?, residing
on the Herman road, survive him. The funeral takes (sic) place
Wednesday morning from Sacred Heart church.
