Mrs. Ellen May Pech, 80, of 1207 Huron St., Manitowoc, died Friday morning at
Holy Family Hosptial, Manitowoc, after an extended illness.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Paul Methodist Church, Manitowoc,
the Rev. D.L. Wandschneider officiating, and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mrs. Pech was born May 14, 1880, at Burlington, Iowa, daughter of the late
Christopher and Mary Day. She spent the early part of her life at Chicago and
moved to Manitowoc at the age of 13. She was graduated from Northside High
School and in 1901 was married to the late James W. Pech, a former Manitowoc
businessman.
She was a charter member of the Eastern Star, Chapter 196, a lifelong member of
St. Paul Methodist Church and a charter member of W.S.C.S. of the church.
Surviving are two daughters, Miss Ethel Pech, a teacher in the Manitowoc public
school system, and Mrs. F.J. Asmus of Grosse Point, Mich., two sons, George, of
Manitowoc and Allison, of San Jose, Calif., and 10 grandchildren.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Sunday at Mittnacht Funeral Home, Manitowoc, until
11 a.M. Monday.
