Ellen Petersen, age 96, died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2005 at Avery Heights. She was the widow of Ralph Peterson. A life-long resident of Manitowoc, she moved to Hartford seven years ago to be near her family, who will miss her very much. She is survived by her daughter, Sally Williams and her son-in-law, Bill Fuller; her grandchildren: Mark, Laura, Tim Williams and Sue Henneberry; their spouses and partners, Lucy Williams, Garry Henneberry and Bob Reeves and her great grandchildren, Chad, Molly, Valentina, Haley, Madeline, Joey, Jenny and Logan.
An avid reader and gardener, she was a great cookie maker and took with her the secret to the world's best pie crust. The family wishes to thank the staff of Avery Heights, particularly Noble 2 and Station III for their loving care.
Burial arrangements, which are being handled by the Newington Memorial Funeral Home, will be private. Donations in her memory may be made to the Manitowoc Public Library, 707 Quay St., Manitowoc, WI 54221.
