MRS. F. ROUBAL DIES AT HOME OF DAUGHTER HERE
Mrs. Frank Roubal, 72, resident of this county since childhood, passed away
early this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Louis P. Rank, 2110
Emersonstreet with whom she has made her home for years. She suffered a stroke
a few days ago and never rallied. Burial will take place Monday morning, with
services at nine o’clock from the Sacred Heart church and interment at
Evergreen.
The maiden name of the deceased was Mary Sauer and she was born in Bohemia,
coming to America with her parents at the age of six. The family settled in
the town of Franklin and she was married there 54 years ago to Frank Roubal.
For 25 years she has resided with her daughter, Mrs. Rank, in the county and
when Mr. and Mrs. Rank removed to this city a year ago she came here with
them.
Four daughters, Mrs. Louis Rank, and Mrs. Dan Dragovich, city, Mrs. Martin
Remaker, Cato, and Mrs. Joe Zigmunt, Francis Creek, two sons, Frank of Rice
Lake and James of this city, a sister, Mrs. Frank Jerabek, and two brothers,
Andrew and Wencil Sauer, all of Mechelville, sixteen grandchildren and four
great grandchildren, survive.
The remains will be removed from the Wattawa, Urbanek & Schlei parlors to the
Louis Rank home Sunday noon, where they may be viewed up to the time of the
funeral.
