EVELYN LORETTA (FRITSCH) STUIBER
Evelyn L. Stuiber, age 85, a resident at St. Mary’s Home, Manitowoc, died Sunday,
April 17, 2005 at the home.
Evelyn was born on June 13, 1919, daughter of the late William and Mary (Reznachek)
Fritsch. She attended Valders High School, and had completed the 10th grade. On
Jan. 20, 1940, she married the late Herbert J. Stuiber who preceded her in death
on Dec. 14, 1994. Evelyn was a checker at Kroger’s Grocery Store and Krambo Grocery
Store, where she retired in 1979. Evelyn and Herbert loved to go polka dancing,
and she was an avid sheephead player.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Germaine Stuiber, Manitowoc;
three daughters and two sons-in-law, Patricia and Allan Zaruha, Manitowoc, Shirley and
Mel Feit, Madison, Dolores Heidorf, Manitowoc; seven grandchildren; four step-
grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; one brother
and sister-in-law: William and Florence Fritsch, Whitelaw; two sisters, Lorretta
Cavanaugh, Manitowoc, Olive Behnke, Reedsville. She is further survived by nieces,
nephews, other relatives and friends.
Evelyn was also preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers-in-law and one
daughter-in-law, Ilene.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Wednesday, April 20, 2005 from 9:30
a.m. until 11 a.m. at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2005 at 11 a.m. at the Pfeffer
Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Tom Wojciechowski
OFM, with burial to follow at Evergreen cemetery, Manitowoc.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home and Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc is assisting the
family with funeral arrangements.
