Mrs. Ruth A. Tollefson, 71, formerly of 203 E. Reed Ave., Manitowoc, died Friday evening, August 5, at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at First German Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Arno J. Wolfgramm will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Tollefson was born Jan. 12, 1912, in the Town of Colby, Wis., Clark County, daughter of the late Gustav and Louise Schlegelmilch Moldenhauer. She grew up and was educated at Manitowoc attending First German Lutheran School. Mrs. Tollefson was a graduate of Lincoln High School with the Class of 1930 and also attended Manitowoc Business College. She was employed at Manitowoc State Bank and Social Security Administration at Fond du Lac. She was married to Earl O. Tollefson, March 29, 1943, at St. Louis, Mo. He preeded her in death Nov. 16, 1977. Mrs. Tollefson was a member of First German Evangelical Lutheran Church and a member of the ladies aid of the church.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Judith A. and Joseph D. Pemberton of Wauwatosa, Wis., Sandra L. and David Coates of St. Paul, Minn.; a brother and sister-in-law, Ernest and Ethel Moldenhauer of Manitowoc; five grandchildren, Jennifer, Amy, Jeffrey, Christina and Nicole, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Friends may call at First German Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc, 11 a.m. Monday until the time of services. Memorials may be made to First German Church or the Multiple Sclerosis Society. Urbanek and Schlei Pfeffer and Reinbold Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
