FUNERAL OF MRS. CYRENIUS WEESNER

Mrs. Cyrenius Weesner, who died Saturday morning at 11 o'clock, of general debility, was born October 29, 1837, in Monrovia, Morgan county, Indiana. Mrs. Weesner's maiden name was Miss Rebecca Allen. She was married to Cyrenius Weesner March 24, 1853, in the town in which she was born. Thirteen children were born to them. In 1866 Mr. and Mrs. Weesner came to Kansas, and in 1888, they moved to Emporia. Mrs. Weesner, herself at the head of five generations, had seen seven generations of her family. March 24, 1913, Mr. and Mrs. Weesner celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary, and their children and a large number of their descendants were present.

Mrs. Weesner was a member of the Friends Church. She is survived by Mr. Weesner and seven children: Mrs. John Henning, Mrs. M. V. Cagney, both of Emporia; Mrs. Clay Shaft, of Wichita; Michael Weesner and William Weesner, both of Parsons; Allen J. Weesner, of Lime, Ore.; and Fred Weesner, of Hutchinson; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. George B. Weesner died three weeks ago.

The funeral was held this afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Weesner home, 728 Exchange street. Rev. George C. Wise had charge of the services and interment was made in Maplewood Cemetery. M. V. Cagney, Clay Shaft, John Henning, Dr. Alfred Henning, Michael Weesner and Fred Weesner were the pallbearers.
