The deceased started the harness trade at the age of 14 years in Chilton, continued his business at Marytown for two years and returned to Chilton to continue his trade from 1923 to 1929 when he retired. He married Eugenia Zahn in 1892 at St. Mary’s church here.
Survivors are his wife; seven children, Mrs. George Boll, Canada; Peter, town of Brothertown; Mrs. Leo Arenz, Mrs. Ed. Joas, Mrs. Edmund Nadler and Miss Romilda Durben, Chilton; Mrs. Fred Heimermann, Hilbert; also 34 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Anna Schabach, Milwaukee. One brother, three sisters and four children preceded him in death.
Tentative funeral services will be held Monday morning at the Pfeffer Funeral home, followed by services at St. Mary’s church here with burial in the parish cemetery.
