Alfred Henry Allen transitioned to dwell into eternal existence at four hours and five minutes past midnight on Tuesday morning, July 17, 2012 from Wichita, KS.

On September 29, 1950 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma the Lord blessed Ray and Evolia Allen with a precious baby boy, they named him Alfred Henry Allen. The family then relocated to Wichita, Kansas in 1954.

Alfred received his formal education in the Wichita Public School system—attending Wichita East High School. In the early 1970's, Alfred met the love of his life, Willie Jean Coleman and they united in holy matrimony. To this union, two children were born. He also served his country in the military and was employed as a construction worker for many years. Alfred then moved to Arlington, Texas to be closer to his children. In October 2009, he returned to Wichita where he resided until he became ill.

Alfred made his transition from earth to glory on July 17, 2012. He is preceded in death by his father; Ray Allen, mother; Evolia Allen, stepson; Elton Singleton, sisters; Barbara and Everlena Coleman, and brothers; Dennis and Charles Allen. Before his departure from this life, he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior. . . Thank God for Jesus; whose mercy endureth forever.

Those who wait on the Lord are his six children; Alfred (Kim) of San Antonio, TX; Vanessa (Willie) of Carrollton , TX; Marcie of Mesquite, TX; Andrea (Tony) of Arlington, TX; Ritchie of Wichita, KS and LaTonya of Owensboro, Kentucky, his siblings; Edna Berry and Leola Stokes of Topeka, KS, Itanza Alexander of San Antonio, TX, Ray Allen, Jr., Linda Payne, Vicki Gettis and Tony Allen all of Wichita, KS, 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; Aaron, Jaquorie, Courtney (Darrean), Kasey, Peru, Toni, Amber, Chris (Rhemiah), and a host of other family and friends who all loved him dearly.
