Uncle Al and wife Susan never had any children. The two most humorous siblings in the Maier Clan were Aunt Emma and Uncle Al-- what Joys to be with.. After the death of my Dad Pete Huester in 1942 Uncle Al and Aunt Emma came frequently to console and encourage my mom. He was the energetic delivery Man for many years of the Burschel Dairy Co in Scranton Pa. In fact as kids growing up in the 40s- our biggest treat was to see Uncle Al delivering milk on the South Side with his horse drawn carriage. In the Archives I placed a Post Card of all the Wagons lined up at the Dairy-- including Uncle Als. He was a very Competent Alto Sax player and in fact was the key major inspiration for my brother Willard and me to play the saxes. To this day because of Uncle Als guidance I am the Lead Tenor Sax player in the Moore County Concert Band- Southern Pines NC ~Pete Huester
