He was born at Lisbon Falls, on March 1, 1952, the son of James W and Evelyn C (James) McIver.
He received his elementary education in the schools of Bowdoin, ME and graduated from Lisbon High School class of 1970.
Throughout his education he was active in the school sports programs, playing baseball while in grammer school, later for the Legion team and also played baseball and basketball while in high school.
On Aug 26, 1972 he was married at Lisbon Falls to the former Arlene F Duricko. From Sept 1970 to May 1987 he was employed by the Pejepscot Paper Co in Pejepscot. Following his father's retirement in June of 1987 he took over the McIver Dairy Farms in Bowdoin, ME which he operated with his family until the time of his death.
He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, ice fishing and fishing. Following high school he continued to remain an active baseball player, playing for the Robert's 88er's, LisbonFalls and theBowdoin Team.
He is survived by his wife Arlene McIver of Bowdoin, ME; two daughters, Erica McIver and Carrie McIver; a son, Larry J. McIver, Jr, all of Bowdoin, ME; his mother Evelyn Mciver of Bowdoin, ME; a sister, Mrs. Anthony (Marilyn) DeGaudio of Brunswick, ME; and a brother, Herbert McIver of Greene, ME.
