Many years ago she was an executive secretary for the National Advisory Committee on Aeronautics at Langley Air Force Base. Born in Norfolk, she was the daughter of the late Elizabeth May Sawyer Walker and tugboat Capt. Pealedge Poyner Walker and was the widow of E. Daniel Williams.
Survivors include a son, David W. Williams and his wife, Donna, of Houston, Texas; and a sister, Grace Schmucker of Maggie Valley, N.C. She was predeceased by her daughter, Dana Louise Williams.
A graveside funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to your local chapter of the Alzheimer's Association. Cox Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
