I received a note about Milton's middle name. Linda Guynup Dewey suggested his middle name may be Wirt/Wert. I did extensive research and believe West is correct, since his maternal grandmother was Martha West. She married Thomas Florer and David Morgan. In 1870, she is residing with Milton's family. I found no ancestors to Milton with the surname Wirt/Wert, either.
Milton married two times, both marriages occurred in Coles County. The first was to Rebecca on June 6, 1881 and the second on April 5, 1883 was to Mahala.
