Carlos Ray McQuary, Sr., age 55, died on August 14, 2012, at his home near Lead Hill, AR surrounded by his family. Mr. McQuary was born on March 17, 1957, at Chicago, IL, the son of Kenith Ray and Elsie Mae (Avery) McQuary. His parents preceded him in death.
Carlos was a member of the Lakeway Fellowship Church. He married Margaret Ferguson on October 6, 1977, in Jerseyville, IL. He drove trucks most of his life and also logged and worked in concrete. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with family, especially his grandbabies.
He is survived by; his wife Margaret McQuary of the home, 3 sons, Carlos McQuary Jr. of Joplin, MO., Kristopher Peoples and Brody Ferguson of the home; 3 daughters, Kristy Billups of Lead Hill, AR, Karla Waldon of Seminole, OK, and Katrinia Bumpus of Seminole, OK; 2 sisters, Joyce Keymer of Harrison and Kim Jones of Lead Hill, AR; 2 brothers, Bill McQuary and Dennis McQuary of Lead Hill, AR; 9 grandchildren and a host of other friends and relatives throughout the community.
Services and visitation will be Saturday, August 18, 2012, at the Monarch Tabernacle. Visitation is 10 till 12 Noon when the service will start. Rev. Jerry Farmer will be speaking. Burial will be at the Keesee Cemetery on Hwy 14 East. Services will be handled by Roller-Christeson Funeral Home of Harrison, AR.
Pallbearers will be, Carlos McQuary, Jr, Kristopher Peoples, B. J. McQuary, Bo Norman, Chris Miles and Dylan Jackson. Honorary pallbearers will be, his wife, children and their spouses, grandchildren, Robin Fojas, Hospice Team, Lisa Huff, Amy Jackson, Tracy Coffeman, Chastity Norman and Joyce and Gary Keymer.
