Burial to Take Place from Home of Deceased's Son in Eighth Ward
Funeral services for Mrs. Isabelle (McKinzey) Allen, 75, of Seward will be conducted at 1:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the home of her son, H.V. Allen of 1129 Confer Avenue, by Rev. Dr. David K. Allen, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church. Interment will be in South Fork Cemetery, under the direction of Mortician Fred G. Geisel of Dale.
The Seward woman's death occurred Saturday in Mercy Hospital, where she had been a medical patient since the middle of June. Complications incident to advanced age was given as the cause of her demise. She had been bedfast nearly a month prior to her admission to the Eighth Ward institution.
Mrs. Allen was born near Houtzdale June 13, 1862, a daughter of the late William and Catherine (Scott) McKinzey. Miss Isabelle McKinzey and W.O. Allen were united in wedlock in 1878 at McIntrye, Clearfield County, and in 1899 moved to South Fork. Ten years ago Mrs. Allen located in Seward, since residing there.
Her husband passed away in November, 1918. Surviving are these children: W.D. and J.A. Allen, Berkeley, Cal.; R.E. Allen, Monterey, Cal.; W.O. Allen, Detroit, Mich.; D.A. Allen, East McKeesport; L.R. Allen, Geistown; H.V. Allen, 1129 Confer Avenue; Mrs. William C. Bowers, Johnstown, and Mrs. Thomas Lewis, Seward.
The deceased also leaves 35 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a brother, William McKinzey of Houtzdale.
