Well Springs Man Was Father Of Harry And Kermit Ausmus Of LaFollette, Burial Was Wednesday.
Harrison Ausmus, well known Powells Valley farmer, died suddenly at his home at Wells Springs Monday at 12:15, shortly after eating his lunch. It was thought that he died of a heart attack. He had not been in the best of health for some time, but his death was very unexpected. He was 58 years old. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Well Springs Methodist Church, burial in the cemetery there. The Revs. Wagner and Cupp conducted services. Agee Funeral Home in charge. Survivors are his wife, four sons, Harry, Otis, Kermit, and J.B., of LaFollette, three daughters, Mrs. Dewey Lumpkins of Caryville, Mrs. Taylor Claiborne and Miss Stella Ausmus, of LaFollette, one brother, Milt Ausmus of Pruden, and one sister, Mrs. Mary Clawson of Luttrell. He was a lifelong resident of Campbell County. Active pallbearers were Bob Rogers, A.L. Childress, Ernest Morton, John Ausmus, C.W. Wells, and Chas. Ellison. Honorary pallbeares were Hugh Rogers, Bob Childress, James Greene, Arthur Ausmus, Silas Mozingo, Luther Carroll, Oscar Spangler, Ed Morton, Charlie McNew, and Frank Ausmus.
