San­dra N. Gor­gas Eas­t­er­day, 77, of Huntsville passed away on Fri­day (Aug. 10, 2012) at her residence.

She was born on Jan. 28, 1935, in Mar­ion County to the late Frank Henry and Car­rie Irene (John­son) Nog­gle. San­dra was a recep­tion­ist for Dr. Edward Jenk­ins, Wilsons C.J. of Course, Delaware; The Lit­tle Cloth­ing Shoppe, Delaware; Dis­ben­nett Real Estate, Delaware; Delaware Cham­ber of Com­merce; assis­tant to Dr. David R. Smith, Delaware, Dr. Ward & Gantt OBGYN, Dr. Lloyd Moore, Mag­netic Springs; Bal­dauf Lum­ber, Delaware; Oak Haven Golf Course; and Nog­gle Insur­ance Agency, Delaware. She was a mem­ber of the Delaware Board of Elec­tions, for­mer Brownie scout co-leader and a mem­ber of the Amer­i­can Legion Aux­il­iary 115, Lioness Club and East­ern Star all of Delaware. Also, a for­mer Sun­day school teacher, she was a mem­ber of the Indian Lake Com­mu­nity Church where she helped start the Out­reach Pro­gram I.L.C.C. She was also a mem­ber of the Eagles Aux­il­iary and Moose Lodge and was an 18-Gallon Blood Donor.

She is sur­vived by her sec­ond hus­band, Robert E. Eas­t­er­day, whom she mar­ried on Sept. 18, 1981, in Delaware. Also sur­viv­ing are three daugh­ters, Gina (Ralph) Gor­gas Tay­lor Mose­ley of Prospect, Jana Gor­gas Foos of Rich­wood and Jodi (Michael) Gor­gas Petree of Red­wood Falls, Minn.; three stepchil­dren, Jef­frey A. (Glo­ria) Eas­t­er­day of Delaware, Bruce E. (Eliz­a­beth) Eas­t­er­day of Attica and Mark D. Eas­t­er­day of Delaware; a brother, Charles E. (Mar­i­lyn) Nog­gle of Upper San­dusky; sis­ter, Eleanor (Robert) Graves of Brooksville, Fla.; her grand­chil­dren, Zachary (Stephanie) Tay­lor, Brook­ston Tay­lor, Stormy and Skyler Foos, Charli and Alix Miller, Bradley Eas­t­er­day and Kim John­son; great-grandchildren, Brax­ton and Shelby Tay­lor; sev­eral nieces and nephews; and her #1 dog, Fergie.

She was pre­ceded in death by her first hus­band, Charles R. Gorgas.

The Revs. John Elling­ton, Jim Elling­ton and Karen Black­burn will offi­ci­ate a funeral ser­vice at 11 a.m. Tues­day, Aug. 13, at the Indian Lake Com­mu­nity Church where vis­i­ta­tion will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Mon­day, Aug. 12, and one hour prior to the funeral ser­vice.
