Beatrice Marie Tanner, 85, Harbour View Haven Home for Special Care, Lunenburg and formerly of Blue Rocks, died Tuesday, November 28, 2000, in the home. Born at Stonehurst, she was a daughter of the late Morris and Eva (Tanner) Tanner. She was a homemaker and went fishing with her husband for many years. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church, Blue Rocks. She is survived by sisters, Vera Tanner, Stonehurst; Ada Bowser, Halifax; brothers, David, Elburne, Harry, and Gordon, all of Stonehurst; grandchildren, Paulette and Larry and two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Marshall; daughter, Joan; grandson, Darren and brothers, William, Earl, and Cecil. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, Lunenburg, with visitation this evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and from where the funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Rev. Heather Hemming officiating. Interment will be in the Lower Blue Rocks Cemetery, Lower Blue Rocks. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Lunenburg Fire Department or to any charity.
