Patience was the first-born daughter of Edward Richards and Mary Head in Dorchester County Maryland. She was 5 years old when, in 1729, her father moved the family from the Dorchester County area to north west of the town of Baltimore and joined a Quaker/Friends Meeting there that was known as the Gunpowder Meeting. Her father Edward purchased property for a homestead "Rattlesnake Ridge". That property and that which surrounded gradually grew into the town of Hampstead MD. The elementary school now sits on that parcel of land, allowing the Richards Family Burial Ground to maintain its presence there.
MARRIAGE
Patience married Thomas Story on January 13 1743 in All Saints Parish of soon-to-become Frederick County MD.
A Thomas Story is listed on the 1790 census, Patapsco Lower Hundred, Balitmore County Maryland. That is the correct location for Thomas and Patience to have been living.
I have not been able to find more regarding Patience's married life and/or her children. I hope to, and welcome anyone's input on this.
