Mr. Marvin Julius Berkenpas, aged 74, went to be with his Lord and is now singing in the heavenly chorus. He fought a courageous battle with ALS and will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 53 years; children; sixteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters; sisters-in-law. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Byron Center First Christian Reformed Church, 2450 85th SW, with his pastors Rev Thomas Groelsema and Rev John Klompien officiating. Interment at Winchester Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet his family Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Cook Funeral Home, Byron Center Chapel, 2067 84th SW.
