OGDEN - Our beloved father, grandfather, uncle and friend, passed away on May 22, 2005 after a very courageous battle with cancer.
"Phil" was born in Logan, Utah on May 9, 1936 to Philip Henry and Evelyn Woodbury Barkdull, the youngest of four children.
He grew up in Logan and attended Logan Schools. After being honorably discharged from he Army in 1961, he made his home in Ogden, Utah. He loved fishing and hunting, his airboat and his dog "Cody". The real love of his life were his two daughters and his grandchildren. He was at peace in his airboat running around the wetlands. He was a devoted member of the Utah Air Boat Association, Inc., where he served in the presidency and was a member for many years. He was always there to assist other members when they needed help.
He will be truly missed by those he loved and those that loved him. His daughters Barbara (Brad) Johnson of Smithfield, and Nicole Barkdull of Ogden. Grandchildren Bradley, Terry, Charli-Ann and Cali, and of course his faithful companion Cody and many nephews, nieces and friends.
He left this life and his love of the wetlands; but to the wetlands he will return on June 4, 2005, on his last run.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, mother and father, brothers Dallen and Farrell, and his sister Dalma and her husband DeWayne Fuhriman.
Graveside services will be held in Logan Cemetery on Wednesday, June 1, 2005 at 1:00 p.m., under the direction of Myers Mortuary of Ogden.
