Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of the late George and Jannie Eliza Friar Scott. Mrs. Ballard was retired from J.P. Stevens, White Horse Plant and was a member of Cherrydale Place Baptist Church.
Since retiring, she has enjoyed spending time with her five great grandchildren, In addition to her husband, she is also survived by her daughter-in-law, of Greenville: grandchildren Rev. Tim Ballard and wife, of Greenville, and Granddaughter and husband of Easley SC. and a sister.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her only son, Rev.C. Wayne Ballard; three sisters, and four brothers.
Visitation was held August 8, 2012, at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home,Northwest. Funeral service followed in the Northwest Chapel. Burial followed in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Greenville,SC.
