Jerry Stuart Cornelius of Highland Lake, AL passed away at Trinity Medical Center on August 16, 2012 at the age of 79. A native of Blount County, he was the son of the late Talmage and Grace Perdue Maynor Cornelius. Mr. Cornelius worked as a plant manager for Magic Fingers. He was a member of Lester Memorial United Methodist Church where he was a member of the choir for 67 years. He served in the United State Air Force and was a former councilman of Highland Lake. He was also a member of the Rotary Club and very active in the Emmaus Community. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by sons Mark Alan Cornelius, Jon Stuart Cornelius and Neal Maynor Cornelius. A memorial service conducted by Bro. Barry Hallman will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at 11AM from Lester Memorial United Methodist Church.
