Dale was born on Sept. 4, 1946, at home in Pelican Township, son of the late Richard and Lucille (Potter) Wallin. He graduated from Pequot Lakes High School. He was previously married to Gloria Vargo and from that union they were blessed with four children. He worked for Standard Lumber and UBC Lumber Company until his retirement. He was a member of Open Door Community Church. Dale enjoyed the simple pleasures in life including his family, grandchildren, the outdoors, sports, gardening, hunting, fishing and a good joke.
Dale Wallin enjoyed watching and listening to both state and local sports teams. His loyalty to the Pequot Lakes Patriots was evident throughout his life. During his high school years he was a star athlete and after graduating he attended all of Pequot Lakes sporting events with his brother, Wayne "Wheaties" Wallin and Dale was affectionately called "Corn Flake" by fellow fans and the athletes he cheered for.
Dale Wallin is survived by his children: Jamie (Jim) Aldin of Breezy Point, Kim (Luke) DeLong of Pine River, Rick (Tracy) Wallin of Pequot Lakes, Lianne (Jamie) Tibbetts of Brainerd; brothers Bob (Ielene) Wallin of Pequot Lakes and Wayne "Wheaties" Wallin; a sister Betty (Ray) Simenstad of Pequot Lakes; six grandchildren, Dylan, Dalton, Sabrina, Logan, Emma and Braden
