b. abt 1844 Union County, SC

Son of Benjamin W. and Mary Burgess Arrowood, family move from Union Co., SC to Rutherford Co., NC abt 1854.

Arwood, B. F., Private 50th Regiment North Carolina Troops, Company I. (Known as the "Rutherford Regulars"). Enlisted in Wake County. Date of enlistment not reported; however, he probably enlisted subsequent to February 29, 1864. Captured by the enemy on an unspecified date. Admitted to a Federal hospital at Savannah, Georgia, December 26, 1864, with debility. Died in hospital at Savannah on March 10, 1865, of "chronic diarrhea."
