Date of enlistment not reported; however, he probably enlisted subsequent to February 29, 1864. Captured by the enemy on an unspecified date. Admitted to a Federal hospital at Savannah, Georgia, December 26, 1864, with debility. Died in hospital at Savannah on March 10, 1865, of "chronic diarrhea."
