Mrs. Vica Vernon, 65, of Eldon, formerly of Kansas City, Kansas, died yesterday at St. Mary's Hospital. Mrs. Vernon was born in Eldon, and lived here about 20 years before returning to Eldon five years ago.
She was a former member of the Ruby Avenue Baptist church.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Violet Cox, Toulin, Ill. and Mrs. Mrs. Maxine Brizendine, Wyandotte County; six brothers, Edgar Simpson, Avondale, Ariz., Okie Simpson, Eldon, Rado Simpson, East St. Louis, Ill., Noble Simpson, Kansas City, Kansas, John Simpson, Crocker, Mo. and Louis Simpson, Kansas City, Kansas; a sister, Dorothy South, Kansas City, Kansas.
Services will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday at the Kay chapel, Eldon; burial in the Eldon cemetery.
