JAMES THOMAS BOONE, known as Jim Tom, passed away at his home in Lytle, Texas, on February 15, 2011.

He was born in McAllen, Texas, on October 3, 1940. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Daniel Boone and Denley (Gill) Boone. He is survived by his sisters, Barbara Wills and husband David, Jane Brown and husband Bob; three nieces and one nephew; six great-nieces and two great-nephews.

Jim Tom graduated from Uvalde High School. He attended the University of Texas until he joined the US Air Force. After his Air Force duty, he returned to the University of Texas to finish his Pharmaceutical Degree. He did his residency work at Harris Hospital in Ft. Worth, Texas. He came to Lytle as Pyron's Pharmacist. Lytle truly became his home and its citizens his friends. The friends he made in Lytle and throughout his life are long-term friends.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 11:00AM at the Lytle United Methodist Church, 19341 S. Somerset St., Lytle, TX 78052, with services concluding at the Church.
