From Frankfort Cemetery, The Westminster Abbey of Kentucky:

The son of Thomas J and Mary Willis Rennick Todd, Lewis Franklin Todd was an officer in the 15th Kentucky Volunteer Infantry Regiment, United States Army, during the Civil War. Struck in the head by a shell Fragment, shot in the arm, and captured at the Battle of Perryville, Todd lost that arm on a Confederate Army surgeon's table. Paroled in time to serve at the Battle of Murfreesboro, Todd was killed while trying to rescue his captain, who was nearly captured by Confederate soldiers. At his funeral, Todd's body was escorted to the grave by soldiers of the 103d Ohio Infantry and the 7th Kentucky Cavalry.
