Dean Henderson, age 63, resident of 161 Delta Street, Forest City, NC passed away on January 5, 2012 at his home. He was born in Cleveland Co. NC to the late Lonnie Henderson and Grace Bell Henderson. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Elbert, Lawrence, Boyce, Lewis, Lonnie, Emmett, Amberce, and Don Henderson. Mr. Henderson retired from the textile industry as Supervisor and knitting mechanic. He was a member of the Baptist Faith, served in the United States Marines during the Vietnam War, receiving the Purple Heart and numerous other Honors and Medals. He was a member of the DAV, American Legion, and VFW. He loved his cats, fishing, and Little Debbies. A loving husband, father, and grandfather.

NC Bradley Henderson and wife Lori, Grover, NC Gary Dean Henderson and wife Trina, Kings Mtn. NC Billy Taylor and wife Kristi, Lincolnton, NC Andy Taylor and wife Robbin, Lincolnton, NC Jason Taylor and wife Connie, Lincolnton, NC Sisters: Irene Granger, Shelby, NC; Florence Moss, Gastonia, NC; And Ruby Dixon, Clover, SC. 16 Grandchildren: Kenneth, Mitchel, Brad, Deven, Shannon, Skylar, Courtney, Torie, Dallas, Emma, Peyton, Zachary, Matthew, Nicholas, Mason, and Catelyn.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel, Monday, January 9, 2012 3:00 P.M. Rev. Ricky Poteat and Rev. Reimond Allmond, officiating.


VISITATION: 3:00 – 6:00 P.M. Sunday afternoon, January 8, 2012 at Harris Funeral Home, Kings Mountain, NC
