Evelyn K. Beamon of Leroy died Sunday, February 13, 2011 at Lakeview Lutheran Manor in Cadillac. She was 81. She was born in Rhodell, West Virginia on December 8, 1929 to Charles Oscar & Nannie Nancy Jane (Blevins) Beamon Sr. and they preceded her in death. Evelyn had lived in the Detroit area for more than 40 years and in the Leroy and Cadillac area for the past 6 years.

She attended the Dighton Wesleyan Church and loved baseball and was a big New York Yankee fan.

Survivors include her sisters and brother: Janie (Hubert) Krantz of Leroy, Marie Beamon of Cadillac and Darrell (Betty) Beamon of Dearborn Heights; two sisters-in-law: Virginia Beamon of West Virginia and Betty Beamon of Dearborn Heights; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by 3 brothers: William "Bill" Beamon, Charles O. Beamon, Jr. and Robert E. Beamon; a sister, Gladys Pritchett and an infant brother, Basil Beamon.

Memorial services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, February 19, 2011 at the Dighton Wesleyan Church with Reverend Orson Deemer officiating. Friends may meet the family just prior to services at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Dighton Wesleyan Church.
