Mr. Adams was born in Gadsden in 1888, a son of the late James I. and Caroline Leverett Adams. He was educated at the Citadel and the University of South Carolina. He was retired from the S. C. Department of Agriculture after 45 years of service and was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church.
Surviving is his wife, Mrs. Annie Bonham Shand Adams; a daughter, Mrs. Ann (Renato) Rerreni of Brussels, Belgium and a grandson.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow at the Graveside in Elmwood Cemetery at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Jules F. Haley.
