MRS. BERTHA DRAKE
Mrs. Bertha E. Drake, 80, of Washington street, died at 6:55 a.m. Thursday (Jan. 14) at Bethesda Hospital where she had been a patient for a week and a half. She had been in failing health for several years.

Mrs. Drake was born in Muskingum County July 28, 1890, a daughter of Charles and Alta Dingey Scott. She attended the First Baptist Church and was a member of Eastern Star Chapter 52.

Surviving are three sons, Dale Drake of Pottsville, Pa., Merle Drake of Junction City and Thurman Drake of Chandlersville road; five daughters, Mrs. Bernice Hina of Talley avenue, Mrs. George (Ruth) Russell of Fultonham, Mrs. Al (Eloise) Lashley of Eppley avenue, Mrs. Ed (Mildred) Dover of Washington street and Mrs. Charles (Evelyn) Dils of Shawnee avenue, South Zanesville; 24 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

The body was taken to the DeLong and Baker Funeral Home where friends may call after 7 p.m. today.

DRAKE SERVICES
Services for Mrs. Bertha E. DRAKE, 80, of Washington street, who died Thursday will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the DeLong and Baker Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Ernst officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery near Roseville.

Pallbearers will be William Dawson, John Dawson, Carlton Rambo, Dale Hina, Terry Drake and Charles Gill.

Zanesville Chapter 52, OES, will hold services at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home where friends may call.

Her husband Frank preceded her in death in 1963.
