For Everett:
Where the earth meets the sky,
That's where your sweet Daddy lies.
His hands worked the soil,
From dawn to dusk he toiled.
From dirt he brought forth food and flora,
Of which he showered on his precious Dora.
He was blessed with six offspring,
To them he was everything.
They repaid him with children of their own,
To continue the love that filled their home.
He loved the earth and things God made,
And from which he took, he also gave.
To his faithful companions he was true,
He waits for them in the sky so blue.
A man who was happy with family and friends,
Who even now his love he sends.
In the flowers that bloom, the birds that sing.
The rainbows that glow, the bells that ring.
Make a wish on a star, blow a kiss as well.
Everett might catch it, who can tell?
He watches over his flock down here below,
And as a reminder, so you will know,
Look at the smiles of the children,
His love shines out when they grin!
