Dorothy A. Roose, 47, of Ferndale, passed away on Sunday, June 1, 1950, due to a massive heart attack. She was born in Bowling Green, Oh., on July 3, 1910, to Ludwig and Florence Specht who were German immigrants and residents of Ohio.
Dorothy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She was a devout Lutheran, a member of the Hazel Park Lutheran Church.
She was preceded into death by her parents; one brother, Mr. William Specht and one sister, Mrs. Margaret Cunningham.
Those left to cherish her memory are husband, Jacob Roose of 29 years; six children, William Roose of Bowling Green, Oh., Mrs. Margaret Thomas of Alma; Nancy, Thomas, Linda, and Sandra all of the home; seven grandchildren; four sisters and one brother; many nieces and nephews also survive.
Burial took place at White Chapel Memorial Cemetery, Troy, Michigan.
