EDWARD B. ANDERSON

Edward B. Anderson, age 83, of 1605 S. 14th St., Manitowoc, died Tuesday, March 7, 1995, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center.
Memorial Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 11, 1995, at the Jens Funeral Home. Rev. Robert Simensen will officiate with burial in Our Savior's Cemetery, Valders. Military Graveside Services will be conducted by the American Legion Post #88.
He was born May 15, 1911, in Mankato, Minn., son of the late John and Pauline Tatarek Anderson. He attended schools and graduated from Mankato High School in 1929. He served in the Armed Forces during World War II. He was the owner of the Anderson Shoe Store in Manitowoc. He had been in the shoe business from 1928 until 1991. He married Janet Nelson January 2, 1950, in Manitowoc. She preceded him in death in 1994. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, the American Legion Post #88, of which he was post commander several times and post commander of the county. He was affiliated with the Badger States Boy Program from 1950 until 1995.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Paul and Jane Anderson, Madison, Mark Anderson, Appleton, and a friend of Mark's, Steven Schuh, also of Appleton; two grandchildren, Michael and David Anderson, Madison; a brother, Carl Anderson, Shakopee, Minn.; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, a son, John Philip Anderson and one sister.
Friends may greet the family Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
A scholarship fund has been started for the Badger Boys State in Mr. Anderson's name.
The Jens Funeral Home is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
