Janet Anderson, age 77, of 1605 South 14th St., Manitowoc, died Thursday, February 3, 1994, at the University Hospital, Madison, Wis.
Memorial Services will be held at 10 am. Tuesday, February 8, 1994, at the Jens Funeral Home. Rev. Robert Simensen will officiate with burial to take place in Valders Cemetery.
She was born November 7, 1916, in Valders, Wis., daughter of the late Otto and Sophie Evenson Nelson. She attended schools in Valders and graduated from the high school. She married Edward Anderson January 28, 1950, in Manitowoc, the couple residing here. She was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, and a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post, was a past president of the 6th District of the American Legion, and held numerous other offices.
Survivors include her husband, Edward, Manitowoc, two sons and a daughter-in-law, Paul and Jane Anderson, Manitowoc, Mark Anderson, Manitowoc; a brother and sister-in-law, Russell and Martha Nelson, San Bernardino, Calif.; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Lola and HartlyTorrison, Sarasota, Fla., Emilette Lane, Carmel, Ind., Harriett Gurgel, Merrionite Park (sic-Marionette), Ill. ; two grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by a son, John, in 1977, and three brothers.
Friends may greet the family from 9 a.m. Tuesday until the time of services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials maybe made to the charity of your choice.
There will be no Monday evening visitation.
