Elmer J. DeBroux, 75 of Valders, died unexpectedly Friday at home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Faith Lutheran Church, Valders. The Rev. Robert Onkka will officiate and burial will be in Our Savior Cemetery, Valders.

Mr. DeBroux was born June 28, 1897, at Green Bay, son of the late Frank and Emilie Laurent DeBroux. He was a World War I veteran. He married Janet Kiefer Aug. 4, 1922, at Winona, Minn. He was employed at Cargill Grain Co., Minneapolis, Minn., where he managed the elevators until 1925 when he came
to Valders and operated Valders Elevators until his retirement in 1962.

He was a member of Valders American Legion Post 28, a charter member of Valders Lions and Treasurer of the Village of Valders. Survivors include his wife; a son, a daughter, a half-sister, Mrs. William Egger, of Green Bay and four grandchildren.

Friends may call at Christianson Funeral Home, Valders, after 4 p.m. Sunday until noon Monday and then at the church.
