Edwin Evenson, 44, of Rt. 1, Valders, died early Wednesday evening at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, where he had been taken two hours earlier following a heart attack.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Faith (Our Saviors) Lutheran Church, Valders. The Rev. Robert A. Onkka will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Evenson was born Sept. 7, 1916, in the Town of Cato, son of the late Edward and Sadie Nickelson Evenson. He was graduated from Valders High School in 1933 and farmed all his life on the family homestead.
He married the former Erna Gruett at Rantoul, Calumet County, Nov. 6, 1943.
Surviving are his wife; three daughters, (private); five sisters, Mrs. Orrin Skatrud of Rt. 1, Valders, Mrs. Edwin Helter of Kewaunee, Mrs. Edwin Behnke of Rt. 2, Reedsville, and Mrs. Sylvia Heagle and Mrs. Vernon Lenoch of Racine.
Friends may call at Farley Funeral Home, Valders, after 3 p.m. Friday until noon Saturday when the body will be moved to the church to lie in state until the hour of service.
