Esther 0. Fenlon, age 92, a resident of St. Mary's Home, formerly of Valders, died Saturday, March 23, 1996, at St. Mary's Home.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 26, 1996, at Faith Lutheran Church, Valders. Rev. Charles Kurtz will officiate with burial in Our Savior's Lutheran Church.

She was born June 28, 1903, in Valders, daughter of the late Anders and Emma (Madson) Thompson. She attended Valders Schools and the Scandinavia Academy and was a graduate of the Manitowoc Teacher's College. She was an elementary school teacher, homemaker and a former employee of the Valders Drive-In Restaurant. Esther married Allen J. Fenlon, Sr., April 20, 1926, at Crown Point, Ind. Esther was a member of the Quarry Riverside Homemakers, Senior Citizens of Valders, Valders American Legion Auxiliary, and was active in many organizations at Faith Lutheran Church.

Survivors include one son, Allen J. Fenlon, Jr., Valders; two grandchildren, John A. and Tracy Fenlon, Columbus, Wis., Sharon Alfson Lulloff, DePere; three great-grandchildren, Forrest Gregg Fenlon, Led Lee and Carley Jo Luffoff; one brother and sister-in-law, Reuel and Aryliss Thompson, Dorchester, Wis. She is further survived by sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law, Eileen Thompson, Sheboygan, Gertrude Fenlon, Maple Grove, and Leonard Kubic, Black River Falls, Wis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen J. Sr.; a daughter-in-law, Rosie L. Fenlon; a grandson, Thomas E. Fenlon; a sister, Jenny Vandrie and a brother-Art Thompson, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law. Friends may call at Faith Lutheran Church, Valders, on Tuesday, March 26, 1996, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 11:30 a.m.

Friends received announcement of the marriage at Waukegan, Saturday, of Miss Esther Thompson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andres Thompson of Valders and Allen Fenlon, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Fenlon of Maple Grove. The couple left here Saturday, ostensibly for a visit with relatives, but Journeyed to Waukegan where they had the nuptial knot tied. They will make their home on a farm near Valders.
