Mrs. Joseph Halverson (sic), 84, of Rt. 1, Cato, lifelong county resident, died Thursday afternoon at the Manitowoc County Hospital, following a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, Valders. The Rev. A.B. Holland will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
She was born Julia Thompson in Cato in 1870 and in 1902 was married to Joseph Halverson, They located on a farm on Rt. 1, Cato. Her husband died four years ago.
Surviving are three sons, Earl of Phoenix, Ariz., Vernon of Menasha and Roy of Dearborn, Mich.; and five grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Berge Funeral Home, Valders, after 2 p.m. Sunday. The casket will be moved to the church at 11 a.m. Monday.
