Mrs. Albert (Sophia) Helgeson, 88, formerly of Rt. 1, Valders, died Saturday afternoon at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Faith Lutheran Church, Valders. The Rev. Robert Onkka will officiate and burial will be in Our Saviour Cemetery, Valders.
Mrs. Helgeson, nee Sophia Wigen, was born May 23, 1884, in the Town of Eaton, daughter of the late Ole and Riginald Hougen Wigen. She was married to Albert Helgeson Dec. 2, 1911, at Valders. Her husband preceded her in death Dec. 11, 1963.
Survivors include two sons, Norman, of Plymouth and John, of Rt. 1, Valders; three daughters, Mrs. James (Alice Mae) Forsyth, of Milwaukee, Mrs. Clarence (Jennette) Paque, of Manitowoc and Mrs. Willard (Dorothy) Werth, of Viroqua;
13 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Five brothers, two sisters and a grandson preceded her in death.
Friends may call at Christianson Funeral Home, Valders, after 4 o'clock this Monday afternoon until 11:30 a.m. Tuesday and then at the church until the time of service.
