Mrs. Gorden (Olivia) Helgeson, 79, of Valders, died Monday evening, July 30, at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 11 am Thursday at Faith Lutheran Church, Valders. Rev. Carl Peters and Rev. Oz Twedt will officiate and burial will be in Our Savior Cemetery.
Mrs. Helgeson was born June 13, 1905, at Valders, daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Jonsrud Thompson. She attended Valders area schools and was a 1923 graduate of Lincoln High School. She taught school for 28 years in the Manitowoc County School System. She married Gordon Helgeson on June 13, 1931, at Valders. Mrs. Helgeson was a member of
Valders Senior Citizens and ALCW & SLCW of Faith Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her husband, Gordon; a son and daughter-in-law, a daughter and son-in-law, a daughter-in-law, a sister, Mrs. Ed Hampton of Concord, California; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Donald, and two brothers.
Friends may call at Faith Lutheran Church, Valders, 6 pm to 9 pm Wednesday, and Thursday from 9:30 am to the time of services.
