NORMAN W. HELGESON

Norman W. Helgeson, 68, of Route 1, Plymouth, died unexpectedly Tuesday afternoon, June 30, of an apparent heart attack.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Wittkopp Funeral Home, Plymouth. The Rev. Carl Peters, pastor of Faith Lutheran Church, Valders, will officiate and burial will be in Our Savior Cemetery, Valders.
Mr. Helgeson was born Oct. 11, 1912, in the Town of Liberty, Manitowoc County, son of the late Albert and Sophia Wigen Helgeson. He attended Sunnycrest Grade School and Valders High School. He married Sarah Sichinger in 1932 at Whitelaw. They lived and farmed near Cleveland until 1944, when they moved to Plymouth. He was a cattle buyer for H.A. Meyer Livestock in Plymouth until 1966, then worked at Kohler Company, retiring in 1978?. His wife preceded him in death Oct. 23, 1967.
Survivors include a son, Lawrence Helgeson of Plymoouth, a brother, John Helgeson of Valders; four sisters, Mrs. James Forsyth of Milwaukee, Mrs. Walter Yonke of Manitowoc and Mrs. Willard Wirth of Viroqua (sic-only 3 sisters listed) , two grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A son and a daughter preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Wittkopp Funeral Home after 4 p.m. Thursday and Friday until the time of service. A memorial fund has been established in his name.
