ALBERT SCHWANKE

Albert Schwanke, 76, retired Cato farmer, died Sunday morning at the Holy Family hospital following a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Berge funeral home, Valders, and at 1:30 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Valders.
Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
He was born in Rockland in 1872 and 51 years ago married Miss Martha Krueger. He was a cheesemaker at Potter and later engaged in farming in Cato.
Survivors are four sons, Ervin of Reedsville, and Gerhardt, Leroy and Orman of Cato; six daughters, Mrs. Erna Lewis and Mrs. Neona Sprang of this city, Mrs. Viola Drossart of Two Rivers, Mrs. Arvin Krumrey of Plymouth, Mrs. John McCarthy of Burbank, Calif., and Miss Linda Schwanke of Valders; 17 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
