MARTHA SORENSON

Mrs. Martha Sorenson, 91, formerly of Family Heritage Home, Manitowoc, died Friday at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Faith Lutheran Church, Valders. The Rev. Robert Onkka will officiate and burial will be in Our Savior Cemetery, Valders.

Mrs. Sorenson, nee Martha Gilbertson, was born Feb. 23, 1882, at Door County, daughter of the late Gilbert and Carrie Larson Gilbertson. She was married to Peter Sorenson June 25, 1902, at Our Savior Church, Valders. He preceded her in death Oct. 18, 1943.

Mrs. Sorenson was a life member of the Manitowoc Historical Society and the Womens ALCW. Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Hugo Vetting of Rt. 4, Manitowoc, Mrs. Ted Skattebo of Manitowoc Rapids, Mrs. Art Guetschow of Two Rivers, Mrs. Elmer Hecker of Manitowoc and Mrs. Donald Edwards of Rt. 4, Manitowoc, a sister, Mrs. Sona Yong of Seattle, Wash., 16 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren. Five sons and three grandchildren preceded her in death.

Friends may call at Christianson Funeral Home, Valders, after 6 p.m. Sunday until 11:30 a.m. Monday and then at the church until the time of service.
