AGED VALDERS PIONEER DIES AT CHICAGO; TO BE BURIED THURSDAY Funeral services for Mrs. Alice Stensland, aged 91, who died at Chicago and was a resident of Valders more than twenty years ago, will be held at Valders tomorrow afternoon at two o’clock from the Otto Berge home to the Our Savior’s Church where Rev. Espeseth will conduct services. Burial will be in the Valders cemetery.
Born in Norway, Mrs. Stensland came to this country while but a young lady and took residence in Valders where she lived for more than sixty years, moving to Chicago to live with her daughter, Mrs.
Martha Christiansen, twenty-two years ago. Besides Mrs. Christiansen, Mrs. Stensland is also survived by a son, Julius Christiansen (sic) of Chicago and a daughter, Mrs. Peter Leim of Edgerton. Mrs. Otto Berge is a niece of the deceased.
