MINNIE TORRISON
Mrs. Minnie Torrison, 87, former Valders resident, died Friday morning in a Chicago Hospital. Since the death of her husband 30 years ago, she had resided with a daughter, Mrs. Arthur Dahlberg at Maywood, Ill. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Monday at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Valders. The Rev. A.B. Holland will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
She was born Oct. 25, 1869 in Liberty, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Christ Evenson. She was married to John Torrison and the couple located in Valders where her husband was a rural mail carrier. He died in 1910 and she moved to Maywood. Surviving are the daughter, Mrs. Dahlberg of Maywood; four brothers, Even of North Dakota, Otis of Los Angeles and Clarence and Elmer of Valders; three sisters, Mrs. Emma Sanders of Los Angeles and Mrs. John Berge and Mrs. Otto Nelson of Valders.
Friends may call at the Berge Funeral Home after 2 pm Sunday. The casket will be moved to the church 11 am on Monday.
