Clacy Lee Moomaw, 81, of Shady Spring died Saturday in a local hospital from injuries received in an automobile accident last weekend.

Born Oct. 10, 1897, at Shady Spring, he was a son of the late Charles Moomaw and Ida Blanche Bailey Moomaw.

Mr. Moomaw was retired from the C&O railroad, a member of the Brotherhood of Railway Car Men and of the Missionary Baptist Church at Shady Spring.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Meadows Lilly Moomaw of Shady Spring; four sons, Carlos of Canton, Ohio, Wayne of Beckley, Lloyd of Fostoria, Ohio and Keith Moomaw of Rutland, Ohio; two daughters, Mrs. Arthur (Dail) Teubert of Crab Orchard and Mrs. Phillip (Hallie) Adkins of Augusta, Ga.; 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Services will be Monday at 2:30 p.m. in the Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel with the Rev. Joe Pizzino in charge. Burial will be in the Skaggs Cemetery at Shady Spring.

Friends may call today after 5 p.m.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
